Genesis of the firm: What You See Is What You Get …
by Elie Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner
I like to define myself as an urban Sherpa. A Sherpa is much more than an experienced guide helping others on a mountain climbing expedition. A sherpa is also an observer, a master in the art of adaptation and a revealer of opportunities and talents.
I founded Wysiwyg Advisors to better provide hands-on, actionable and tactical recommendations to clients willing to develop a new spin in putting back in motion or accelerating the growth of their revenue.
For many years, I have supported management teams in defining and activating efficient and scalable processes impacting their go to market approach.
I based my approach on leveraging a set of six key behavioral values leading organizations to long-term success by challenging the status quo.
I also co-founded Almarelo.com, a marketplace portal connecting senior experienced professionals with small businesses to provide business support and advice. Additionally, I am a founding Partner at WAVE Group, an advisory and execution management consulting firm delivering international expertise for immediate results.
Overall, I have over 20 years of experience as a business developer engaging with sophisticated clients in the industrial, technology and financial sectors in Europe and in North America. I have developed a robust expertise in developing complex solutions (mix of technology, advisory services, managed services, and professional services). I have a successful track record in establishing, growing and managing technology / consulting ventures, and turning them into long-term profitable businesses.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from University Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in France. I was appointed a French Foreign Trade Council Advisor (CNCCEF) in March 2011, and I am a founding member of the DreamStart committee providing entrepreneurs intending to grow activities in North America with free mentoring support.
Since 2006, I have also been an active member of Delville Management, a firm that specializes in transition management, helping organizations manage emergencies, improve performance, and define turnarounds and recovery plans.
On a more personal side, I am proud to sit on the board of the American Friends of le Chambon sur Lignon – a place of remembrance, history and education.
